We have 30 years of experience in the construction industry and 15 years of carrying out SAP calculations. Quality is assured as we are externally audited and accredited with both Elmhurst Energy and Stroma.

With a Chartered Building Services Engineer and former Building Control staff carrying out your SAP calculations, you can have confidence that your Energy Assessor understands all aspects of your building project and can help you to achieve Building Regulations compliance.

Volume Multi-Dwelling Sites

We have experience with large city centre brownfield sites, including high rise (up to 31 storeys) and multi-dwelling sites (with over 400 dwellings).

Recent projects include new build flats at Olympic Park, London as part of the regeneration of the Olympic Games site; and the refurbishment of the Television Centre, London (pictured right). We are pleased to report that this project was a winner of the 2019 RIBA National Award and the 2019 RIBA London Award for architecture, where winners are noted for “showcasing their ability to meet sustainable development and environmental requirements to a high standard”.

Conversions

Material change of use

From individual barn conversions to refurbishment of multi storey offices to create luxury flats, we have experience of many types of “Material Change of Use” sites.

We can check for compliance with all aspects of Approved Document L1B and provide the type of EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates) you need for conversions. If your project is outside the normal L1B parameters we can provide comparison calculations to give you much more design flexibility, or to help meet planning conditions.

We can also provide calculations for highly glazed extensions such as orangeries and sun lounges.

Air Tests

Our air testers are ATTMA accredited and can provide air test certificates for submission to Building Control, for dwellings and for small commercial buildings.

They are happy to provide pre-test advice to help you reduce air leakage and get a better air test result. This in turn can help reduce emission rates and make it easier to achieve building regulation targets.

Testing to verify ventilation system performance is also available.

Commercial & Industrial

We can provide site based Resident Engineers and Independent Certifiers, also Chartered Engineers for work such as asset surveys with energy efficiency advice.

We can carry out SBEM calculations to produce Energy Performance Certificates for new Level 4 buildings. Dynamic simulation modelling is also available for Level 5 buildings with calculations provided by Chartered Building Services Engineers and CIBSE accredited and externally audited Low Carbon Consultants.
